Hollywood Racks RV and Camper Bike Racks Review - 2023 Cadillac XT4- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at how the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Platform Bike Rack fits on a 2023 Cadillac XT4. So the RV rider is an extreme bike rack. It is designed to use with RV's, motor homes, trailers, things like that, but can also be used on pretty much any vehicle that has a 2-inch hitch receiver. So for that reason, I really would only recommend this bike rack if you have an extreme situation. Maybe you have an extremely heavy bike or you have a long wheel base that you need to consider, that's when this might be the best option for you. But for other cases, like normal bikes, you might want something that's easier to use, 'cause there's a lot of things included with this rack that you're gonna have to go through. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Cadillac XT5, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima RoadTrip 4 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches, part number Y02477.We already have a bike installed on our rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look here. While this bike rack is designed for 5th wheels and motor homes, this can also work with your vehicles that you're towing behind those motor homes as well. It's rated for cars, trucks, and SUVs.Starting with the arms, at the ends of both of them, we're going to have these bottle openers like you will find on most Yakima bike racks. The cradles are stationary, meaning they can't move back and forth, but they do have this nice super cushioned material here, which is going to help protect the frame of your bike once it's installed, and keep any scratches or dents or bruises going on it once you have it installed.It's going to grip your bike by three points. We're going to have two ZipStrips up at the top, and then one off to the side here, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, and causing bike-to-bike contact. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2018 Cadillac XT5, we're gonna be test fitting the Yakima LongHaul 4 Bike Rack for two-inch hitches, Part Number Y02476. Now, this is actually also designed to work with RVs and campers, but if you're hauling this behind your RV, you can also utilize this with your vehicle here. This will work with two-inch hitches, and we'll start by focusing on the arms out here first.On the ends of both of our arms, we're gonna have the Yakima patented bottle openers that you'll find on most of their bike racks. Then along the backside, we're actually gonna have an integrated cable lock that you would pull out from the back, wrap around the bikes in the front, and attach to this point here so your bikes are secure, and this is keyed alike with the hitch lock, which we'll get to a little bit later.The cradles are stationary, but they do have this super cushion material as well as on the zip strips here to help protect your frame once it's being installed, so it doesn't get scratched up. It's gonna grip your bike at three points. We're gonna have two zip strips up at the top as well as one off to the side, and that's gonna serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth causing bike-to-bike contact.A little tip about the anti-sway cradle, you can push these up out of the way, and that's gonna make loading and unloading these bikes a lot easier, and I'll show you that in a second. more
